weird things are happening v.177 aka the "collapse" edition

Both Frankie and Sheldon were sitting with me. Frankie was literally right next to me on the couch and Sheldon was on the floor below us. I was reading a post about Melania Trump potentially being a mail-order bride, and I clicked on a YouTube link that opened with Donald Trump speaking. Immediately Frankie got up and moved as far away as she could from me on the couch, and at the same time Sheldon actually got up and went into another room.
Is this real? I don't know. But the fact that both of my pets immediately scattered at the sound of Donald Trump's voice is real. I actually wish that someone else would have been awake and out here to witness their instant repulsion to his voice. The innocent-brained are generally decent judges of character.

*Gaza becomes testing ground for US-made AI war robots

*Worms near Chernobyl have become immune to radiation.

*NASA preparing for internet apocalypse that could hit by 2025.

*Billionaires are buckling down with their apocalypse bunkers.

*Half of Americans over 65 are only making $30,000 a year.

*Donald Trump claims the covid vaccines cure cancer. So they cure the cancer that they caused, and Trump wants all the credit for this? Ok. Got it.
How is this real life? I am literally about to fall off the couch in laughter over here. How does anyone still think any of this is real? How old is Donald Trump by this point, like 90? 77, close enough. I'm no ageist, but he's been throwing age around for years now, and according to him, it should be about time for him to sit down and shut up as well.

*Farmed salmon experiences a mass die-off all around the world.

*Fifth mass coral bleaching event in the last eight years hits the Great Barrier Reef.

*Study shows the higher the G, the more harmful on our organs

*Scientists want to build a 62 mile long curtain around Antarctica's Doomsday Glacier.

*Canadian bill C-63 will crack down on disapproved online comments and could cost you a fine. Maybe this is beginning to be underway in Canada, but it will be in the US soon as well. Let's just all take a moment of silence for China and their social credit score system, which if America continues past this year, we will definitely be creeping towards that as well.

*United Airline plane loses a tire during takeoff in San Francisco, another UA plane rolls off the runway in Houston.

*In this week's "no duh" news, experts fear looming vision problems in the younger generations due to excess screen time and less time outdoors.

*Right now rain is scarce in the Amazon, but wildfires are raging.

*Spring starts early, with the warmest US winter on record. Canada also had its warmest winter on record.

*England's farms experience the wettest winter in decades.

*Microplastics were found in 50% of plaque in clogged arteries. If you prick us, do we not bleed plastic?

*Microplastics found in EVERY SINGLE human placenta that was tested.

*Microplastics also found in the clouds. Where was the plastic generation in Daniel's vision?

*Due to drought and extreme heat, Louisiana experiences a crawfish shortage.

*Drowning deaths at the Mexico/US border are up 3200% since Trump raised the wall height.

*"Ma'am, this is (not just) a Wendy's." Surge pricing is coming to more fast food restaurants.

*Plastic food packaging contains hormone-mimicking chemicals.

*New RSV vaccine reported to cause the nervous system disorder, Guillain Barre syndrome.

*Kensington Palace releases first photo of Princess Kate since her surprise surgery months ago....but where's her wedding ring? Is this picture even real? Is that even Kate Middleton in that body? Inquiring minds want to know.

*Horseshoe crabs are under threat from over harvesting.
