a house divided

There is nothing quite as devastating as the body of Christ arguing. There are many divisions in this world, but when it comes to God's family, we should be able to have discussions and disagreements without completely shutting people out or treating them with disrespect. I mean, we should be treating every single person we come across with dignity, but if we can't even treat the other members of the body the way we would like to be treated, there is a huge problem. I've lost lots friends throughout the past six years as a Christian, a few that I considered very close. I have lost even more over the past eighteen months as I have become more vocal in not only my passion for Christ, but also in what I believe to be going on in the world. I appreciate those of you who come back every day to read these random musings and sometimes manic thoughts. On some level it does bother me a little that people hate me based on just what I believe, because I don't hate anyone, no matt

the beauty we can't always see

For anyone needing a word of encouragement right now, this is for you. Life is hard for everyone for a multitude of reasons. Coronavirus, natural disasters, wars and rumors of wars. Families being separated. Selfishness and addictions. Love grown cold. The epidemic of loneliness. Division and chaos running rampant. New laws and mandates. It is all confusing, especially when we've grown up in a world that says if we work hard enough we can do ANYTHING. And then we grow up and recognize that's not true. And the children, ugh. As someone who never had a motherly bone in my body, the fact that the degradation of the world's children bothers me so very much is a surprise to me. But I find myself caring about these innocent souls so much. And the abused children and those that have been scorned by the church in the past. I hurt for all of you.  I was reading in 1 Samuel this morning and I thought of how Hannah must have felt after she prayed and prayed for a baby, and promised th

We made it through the first week of school, and aside from a very emotional moment on the first day when Owsley decided he did not have it in him to remember the rules of long division, everything else went very smoothly. Gage even enjoys his online classes, which is a surprise. Well, when I say enjoys, I mean he doesn't hate it.  I did get a text from Peppy one day when I was at the food bank that made me laugh out loud. He said Owsley was sitting, diligently working on his school work, and Gage was just staring at a blank screen. Alas, that is my child. With the super ability to zone out and not live in this world. It's called maladaptive daydreaming and I didn't even know it was a thing until I was an adult. Fortunately I grew out of it. And while I may not know the places Gage lives in his brain, I do understand them.  I've had a lot on my mind lately, although I still can't concentrate on much other than typing or watching a movie, and even then I find myself

hey there, sugar

I have so many beautiful food pictures I just didn't even know which ones to upload. This blog post was inspired after I spent yesterday morning compiling a notebook filled with all the things I believe each individual family member will want to eat at Universal. I am not some hardcore planner, but we like food, and it really saves on stress and time wasted if you know what is offered in advance. You know, gluttony is a sin too. But it's not one we talk about often.  I wonder if I can sing this to the tune of "We Didn't Start the Fire." We didn't want to diet. We are already addicted. And our bodies are stricken. We didn't want to limit, because clearly obesity is just a gimmick. Tooth decay, weight gain, heart disease, acne. Diabetes, fatigue and addiction really is a disease. Ok, maybe I've got something there. Needs a little work though.  Dextrose, sugar cane, corn syrup, high fructose corn syrup, maltose, carbitol, erythritol, galactose, hexitol, m

afternoon stream of consciousness

I have a dear friend in India. We became friends over instagram years ago and became familiar through DMs. I consider him a brother and I trust what he tells me is happening in his country. He has told me that ivermectin has worked wonders in treating covid in India. My own real life brother, who is a pharmacist, told me that they have not been using ivermectin in the local hospital, but it does have great success in treating parasites. Ok. So what if Sars-CoV-2 is a parasite? What if 'covid' is just an umbrella term for a plethora of illnesses we've experienced over the past few years, like the flu, cold, and pneumonia. Why are some people's symptoms vastly different from others? What if there is an actual parasite going around in some people and Ivermectin can cure it? Ivermectin has been prescribed for Lyme disease and has been used for many tropical diseases. It sure does seem to be censored a lot lately. There are daily testimonials on reddit of people who have tri

what a weird time to exist

They are juggling a million different narratives here.  If I had a megaphone and a busy street corner, this is what I would be yelling: So here's what I really think is happening with coronavirus and the vaccine. I truly believe with all my heart that if we would have just let this roll through naturally it would be over and done with by now. Yes, there would have been some casualties. Many casualties. That's what happens when someone releases biological warfare upon the world. Sadly, it's like a forced game of Russian Roulette, and you don't know if you've lost or won the genetic lottery until you contract covid. But still, there are things you can to help your body. Stop eating processed food. Exercise. Zinc, vitamin c, and lots and lots of vitamin D. Isn't it weird how we are all supposed to stay inside, away from the sun that can naturally provide us with the vitamin D we need? I often wonder if my family mostly had mild cases of covid because basically all

WEF - you never leave home

Our dear friends Klaus Schwab and the gang at the World Economic Forum are back with another promotional video all about our new and exciting dystopian future! Most people are adamant they hate this idea and the videos, but that doesn't stop the WEF from posting them. Here's a post with their video introducing  the great reset .  You will never leave your house. Ever. You will be on your computer or tablet constantly, and you will love it. I'll be honest, the Nasa heartbeat laser is freaking me out a bit. If I take away anything from this video it is that our future will be full of even more control, less social contact, and masks. It looks like we never get rid of the masks. Break us down as people. Don't allow us to be individuals anymore. WEF is striving for us to become one singular hive mind. Kind of reminds me of the tower of Babel.  Also in response to 100% online learning for children so they can "improve their digital skills," anyone with a child will

pharmakeia 101

There's nothing new under the sun. King Solomon said that. Wisest human whoever lived, who was enticed away by his own lusts. None of us are immune. Here's your 15 minute cliffnotes dive into pharmakeia. The Greek word for sorcery is pharmakeia. In classical Greek pharmakeia referred to the use of drugs and medicines in a more sinister purpose- spells, poison, and the occult. The whole idea conveys black magic and demonic control. These are things I first learned when I became a born again Christian, but I believe as a whole, the world is ignorant to this. Or at least they are so entwined in sorcery without even recognizing it, that they just don't care. I think humanity would be astounded if the veil was completely lifted and they realized just how supernatural this world is. Sorcery and witchcraft exist, even if you don't believe in them. In the Old Testament the Lord says, "I do not permit a sorcerer to live." (Exodus 22:18) He wouldn't say this without

school days, school days, dear old golden rule days

Totally pumped up for school.....OK, maybe not really, but it's best to just rip the bandaid off. I can't believe I have a high schooler this year.  Summer for us is officially over. We tried to make summer break as "normal" as possible. Owsley and I took multiple trips to Six Flags, the kids spent the night with their aunt and uncle a handful of times and went rock climbing and to the movies. We went to the library tons. They went to Dave and Busters twice. Gage had a real birthday party this year, and Owsley went swimming once or twice. My mom took the kids out to lunch on Thursdays when I was at the food bank, and Fridays are Sonic mornings with my dad. It wasn't exactly the summers of the past, but we tried to make it the least depressing as possible. At least we have a bit of a routine. That definitely breaks things up and helps the days seem less endless. And I do understand just how lucky we are in comparison to others. I know many people didn't have th

mystery babylon

If you are reading my blog you probably do it for one of two reasons. 1) You have known me online for years and think I have become unstable and you get sadistic pleasure (or maybe concern) out of watching a trainwreck happen, or 2) you believe there might be some truth to the things I say. Everyone is welcome here.  If there is anyone who is Catholic and reads this blog, this is not an attempt to call you out. I know there are people in the Catholic church who love Jesus. I volunteer with a few of them who love Christ with all their hearts. But what it really comes down to is if you compare what the Catholic church teaches and holds as holy tradition verses what the bible says, something doesn't add up.  I agree with everything this video says. It is an hour long, but it is very informative and puts together a lot of history into one concise video. It starts a little slow, but it's just laying the groundwork for you, explaining that since the beginning of the Catholic church,

truth matters

The quest for the truth is not always comfortable. You may not always like what you hear. There may be moments of cognitive dissonance where you brain refuses to see something as a true possibility. You may grieve a part of your life that you are convicted to leave behind. You might have to sacrifice a vice that you enjoy, or let go of some bad habits, harsh attitudes and, prejudices in order to move forward. You may even have to make new friends, if the influence of your current ones are dragging you down to a place that's immoral. The truth can be so hard at times that you might even prefer ignorance. Sometimes it's even hard to know what is true. Media and news are thrown at us from all directions all day long. It is very confusing to sift through the garbage just to find some real facts and statistics. We are constantly inputting more and more data. And the things we input become the things we output into the world and the lives of others. We can't assume that we are no

goodbye, yellow brick road- picture heavy

I loved you Disney World. I really did. I have been to Disney World seven times. Once when I was two, again at eleven, and five times as an adult. I've even been on one of your cruises, courtesy of Peppy's grandparents.  I have so many wonderful memories of time spent in your parks with the people I love the most. We anticipated each trip with anxious impatience, and being in the Disney parks campus made you feel like you were in a bubble. I loved the energy of the other happy vacationers. I loved seeing giddy smiles on elderly people after they rode Soarin'. Disney really did know how to create magic.  But then one by one, the things that made a Disney vacation magical (at least for my family) were taken away. No more fast passes. No more free dining plan during the off season. The prices for a Disney vacation continued to increase, while they began removing the things that made it special. My family and I don't mind walking, so with the fast pass system, we rarely eve

peace, be still

Last night we were finishing up dinner when suddenly our phones went off with an alarm: IMMINENT EXTREME ALERT! TORNADO WARNING. TAKE SHELTER NOW! Then the emergency sirens began to blare in full force.  Middle of August is not a normal time for tornadoes in Alabama. Tornado season is generally in April and May, and we actually had a very mild season this year. I don't remember ever in my life not getting a heads up to at least watch out for bad weather later in the day. I knew there was the potential for thunderstorms, but they have been saying that all week and it hasn't rained once at my house. No one had heard anything about a tornado warning today. I was even outside 30 minutes prior and never would have guessed. Fortunately my parent's live very close by and have a storm shelter, so we jumped in the car and immediately went over to their house. My phone was pinging with texts from local friends making sure we were safe. I seriously have some of the most considerate fr

early morning stream of consciousness

I think America might be the hardest country to wake up, but not in the way you may think. Many people do realize something is off, and they have been 'red pilled,' but they still are missing the big point. They want to fight for our 'God given freedoms .' But here's the thing, the only freedom God has promised us is through his son, Jesus Christ. We really can't take away something from someone that was only an illusion to begin with. We have these grand illusions of all these  rights , when we actually have  ZERO .  And then add in student loans and credit card debit, and you can see how they want us to be slaves to the system until we die. The price of living increases, while minimum wage barely budges. It's a bitter sweet symphony, that's life. Trying to make ends meet, you're a slave to money then you die.  Suspend your beliefs for a moment, if you will, and pretend that I am correct and that we are entering the great tribulation period. I know

seven things that God hates

We always hear that God is love, but did you realize there are some things that the Lord hates? "There are six things that God hates, seven that are an abomination to him: prideful eyes, a lying tongue, and hands that shed innocent blood, a heart that devises wicked plans, feet that make haste to run to evil, a false witness who breathes out lies, and one who sows discord among brothers." Proverbs 6:16-19 God hates evil. All of the things that the Lord detests can be lumped into the category of evil. Being prideful, lying, murder, plotting evil, and being an instigator to arguments. When you really look at, you can't really be surprised that these are things the Lord hates. These are things most people hate too.  God hates pride , because it usually involves thinking more highly of yourself than anyone else (which is basically the antithesis of christianity.) It also causes people to exalt themselves about the Lord himself. Nothing good can come from pride. No matter our
